Additional Wanted Information

What if everything in your life was out of your hands and those around you propelled your fate? Your girlfriend left you for your best friend; your boss gave your job to someone better. What if then, after all this, someone gave you back total control? What if he revealed you were the next in line to join a secret society of super-villains that controlled the entire planet? Mark Millar and J.G. Jones provide a look at one man who goes from being the world's biggest loser to the deadliest assassin alive.

What Customers Say About Wanted:

While some readers may react to Wesley's actions with disgust, others cheer him on for taking every societal folkway/more and raising his middle finger to them. They nurse fantasies of taking what they want and finally telling off the people who trample on their spirits like an angry child destroying a flower bed, but usually they never follow through with them. However, if you like the idea of seeing how the other half of super-powered people live, WANTED is waiting. WANTED is the polar opposite: Wesley Gibson was stomped on his entire life; once he has the freedom to take charge of his destiny, he becomes an egocentric hedonist - using his newly found gifts to satisfy his own desires, both subtle and gross. Meet Wesley Gibson: a quiet, unassuming person who lives his life in a cubicle farm, determined to not make any waves. The funny thing is; Wesley Gibson would most likely vilify his admirers since they only watch from the sidelines instead of taking a stand. This compilation is a real treat - it includes the original 6 issues plus the Wanted: Dossier materials. There's a lot of cursing and brutal savagery to be found here, and that doesn't appeal to everyone.

This is a little segment I like to call "WWWS" - What Would Wesley Say.If you liked it, Wesley would say: "Are you willing to be brutally honest and tell people exactly why you liked it, or are you going to take the p***y way out and say you liked the artwork." If you disliked it, Wesley would say: "Are you saying you didn't like this story because you really feel that way, or are you going to take the p***y way out and say you didn't like it because popular society says you SHOULDN'T."Now if you're offended by Wesley's questions and wouldn't want to answer them, this probably isn't the comic book compilation for you. Don't despair. He is given a tabula rasa not only for his thoughts, but his actions: Every fantasy he ever has can be fulfilled with absolutely no fear of consequences. They wish to be smarter, better looking, more confident, etc. WANTED is the story of a man who got a re-deal from the deck. As the story progresses, his fantasies-turned-reality range from the gleefully murderous to the savagely carnal.Comic books have been designed for over 70 years to tell stories about super-heroes and their noble pursuits; sacrificing personal pleasures for the betterment of others because it's the right thing to do.

It contains a rogues gallery of Wesley's friends and foes, cover art galleries, design concepts, storyboards, and a few ads for other comics. There are plenty of heroic comic novels like Watchmen or the Daredevil: Born Again saga to entertain you. In life, many people wish for a better life than the one they were dealt. Whether it's mooing for a tofu-burger or turning a blind eye to his unfaithful girlfriend, Wesley Gibson is little more than a shadow of the man he could be.Out of nowhere, Wesley gets the chance to join a group called The Fraternity, and they give him the chance to become the man he always wanted to be - but that man isn't very nice.Over the course of this 6-issue story arc, we watch the metamorphosis of Wesley Gibson from spineless jellyfish to hardened super-villain. At the end of the novel, you will have one of two reactions - either admiration or disgust.

If you want a happy positive upbeat comic this ain't for you, this is violent with infinite amounts of profanity and a limitless amount of badassness. do not expect this to be a graphic novel where superheroes prevail, cause they're aren't any, this is a violent balls to the walls graphic novel where the characters aren't good people and its a world where everyone has free will from senseless murders to extreme violence its not a pretty picture but can you expect when its a super villains' perspective. Wanted is a rare gem where it gives the readers a perspective in the eyes of a super villain.

Wanted basically laughs at the reader for being a tool. If you are a philosophical person, you should be able to "get" the point. Superheros try to prevent the villains from getting what they want, but in the Wanted universe, the super villains won. Yeah it's shock, but it also has subtext and substance.

If this is an interesting concept, you might enjoy Wanted. Villains are about the id, selfishly getting what they want. If you are close-minded or have a fragile ego, this will just piss you off like it has many reviewers. The people that follow the rules waste their life, the villains get what they want and live a full life. The basic human programming that wants food, water, sleep, and sex. Now imagine a world with no God (if you believe in God, remember this is a fantasy comic book), no morals, no sin. This is actually a very legit belief about the meaning of life and human nature that has been suggested for thousands of years and practiced for all of human history. Millar isn't trying to convince you that there is no God and that rape is cool.

Their loss.Look, the character made totally from the most evil feces from the most evil bowels in history should have been a tip off. Wanted is about the id. Just survival. He is purposely putting forth a very unpopular ideal (in our close-minded society) and having fun with it, taking it to the extreme.

This is not a book for kids, although there is some cool shooting scenes but contains a lot of bad language and inappropriate scenes. To me, this is an unpleasent read.

If you can handle that this is a awesome book with the most jaw dropping action I have ever seen. This is not a superhero story, it is a superVILLIAN story. If you want a feel good story with a good and valiant protagonist this is not for you. I was blown away. action and hilarious dialogue this is right up your alley. Supervillians are gonna be bad and arnt gonna be sentimental.

If you want b.a. I decided to buy this item despite the reviews for this book being less than stellar. This has to be the most fun I have ever had reading a comic. The art is also great.
